Health functionaries reported that 3 fresh cases of swine flu deaths have taken the death toll in the country to 484.
Out of the three new cases, one death has been reported from Punjab and one was from Kerala.
In addition, one fatality that took place earlier in Kerala has now been confirmed as swine flu case.
Out of the total causalities thus far, 206 death cases have been reported from Maharashtra, while 117 H1N1 cases were from Karnataka followed by 21 in Kerala, 40 in Gujarat, 5 in Haryana, 4 in Goa, 7 in Tamil Nadu, 3 each in Uttarakhand and UP, 2 each in Punjab and Rajasthan, 49 in Andhra Pradesh, 16 in the national capital, 6 in Puducherry, and one each in Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram.
With 66 fresh cases of H1N1 virus, the total figure of people affected with the deadly flu in India has gone up to 14,406.
The cases were reported from Delhi (18), Maharashtra (13), Tamil Nadu (11), Haryana (9), Kerala (9), Karnataka (3), Gujarat (2) and Uttar Pradesh (1).
According to a statement, "Till date, blood samples of 75,822 people have been examined for the fatal H1N1 virus in government as well as private labs across India and
14,406 of them have been found positive."
