4-year-old dies as DDU doctors on strikeAlmost 250-odd resident doctors at Deen Dayal Upadhayay Hospital set off on strike subsequent to a doctor’s assault by family of a patient on Saturday. Whereas the doctors were demonstrating outside the emergency ward, a 4year old girl, who was analyze with meningeal encephalitis, surrendered to the infection as emergency service were also disturbed by the strike.

Sources reviled that the girl came in while she was unconscious and then taken to the emergency ward. Other than as doctors were on strike, sources stated that her parents made a decision to take her to a different hospital. The girl immediately needed the ventilator support, died out of the hospital.

Resident Doctors Association of DDU maintains that he did attend the girl and our doctors supported her with all medical assistance as they could and moreover they put her on antibiotics.

Her situation was serious when she was carried in, expressed Ravinder Singh, RDA member. The hospital is going through a major scarcity of beds. Seventy-year-old Maharaj Anand succumbed to septicemia as the hospital felt short to offer him an ICU bed and doctors stated that ICU beds were all occupied as told by Leela Dhar, Anand's neighbor.
