Aaron Sorkin quits Facebook

Aaron Sorkin quits FacebookAaron Sorkin, who was awarded an Oscar prize for his screenplay for ‘The Social Network’ movie based on Facebook’s founder, has revealed today that he has quit the world’s largest social networking site.

Sorkin admitted that he left the site while speaking at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. He said that he was on Facebook while making the movie but has since lefty the site.

“I have a lot of opinions on social media that make me sound like a grumpy old man sitting on the porch yelling at kids,” he said.

The Social Network was based on the events leading up to the creation of Facebook by Harvard student, Mark Zuckerberg and changes in his life. The movie won Oscars for its editing, score and screenplay, which was inspired by Ben Mezrich’s book The Accidental Billionaires.

The film’s director, David Fincher has also expressed his concerns about joining the site.
