AcerAcer plans to launch a key-board PC before Asus. The Taiwanese corp. has claimed to launch a key board PC before its Taiwanese contender Asus signaling a go-ahead to the competition.

Acer plans to utilize the same platform as that of Ultrawideband HD multimedia interface which was used in the Asus's EEE Keyboard that connects the monitor promising the same platform similar to a PC. Acer boasts of D-Sub and HDMI ports.

It is believed that the key-board PC shall be close to £370 at Amazon, which is significantly low in comparison to other contenders of its league. With this it promises a Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB RAM, Vista Premium (which will be replaced by Windows 7 HomePremium), 320GB hard disk, WiFi, four USB ports and an Nvidia Geforce graphics card.
