Adelaide Oval wins rights to host historic day-night Test between Oz-KiwisSydney, Nov 16 : Adelaide Oval stadium would reportedly win the rights to host the sport's historic day-night Test between Australia and New Zealand as the traditional format prepares to make use of the pink-ball next November.

It can be reportedly revealed that the final day-night Sheffield Shield trials last week alleviated concerns over the durability of pink kookaburra balls. Secret Cricket Australia research has also dispelled the theory pink balls can't be detected by colour-blind players such as Test opener Chris Rogers.

CA has been in dialogue with New Zealand for 12 months to stage a day-night Test that proves more accessible to families and a prime time boon for television broadcasters, News. com. au reported.

South Australian Cricket Association boss Keith Bradshaw said that Adelaide was the obvious choice for the inaugural day-night Test after a meeting of fellow chief executives this week.

Bradshaw, who pioneered the introduction of pink balls as Marylebone Cricket Club Chief five years ago, said that the eyes of the world would be on Adelaide, as it is a world first.

Bradshaw also said that they would attract massive interest, the timeslot works well. He said it would be special to host the first day night Test. (ANI)
