Aditya Toll Bridge Inaugurated, Other Projects Get Sanction
The Jharkhand Chief Minister, Mr. Arjun Munda, while inaugurating the first four-lane link on PPP model, told that such infrastructures are the need of the hour and they would certainly boost economic growth of the state.
The newly built Adityapur toll bridge is worth Rs 76.01 crore, and would be maintained by a special formed body called Adityapur Toll Bridge Company Limited (ATBCL). It was expected that due to this novel bridge, there would be decrease in traffic jams and also, in road accidents in both cities.
The first day of the bridge saw a traffic jam for six hours, which forced people to drive their vehicles through capital Ranchi and Jamshedpur.
The inauguration witnessed many big-wigs, like Tata Steel MD H. M. Nerurkar. Mr. Munda chose this occasion to be a perfect one to announce other projects, which were the renovation of Adityapur-Kandra road. The government, in 2005-2006 has already allocated Rs 21 crore for the repair of the road, but due to the political problems the project got delayed.
Another project which has got green signal from the government, along with Kandra road, was Chaibasa-Chowka road project. It would cost Rs 125 crore.
Mr. Munda told that the government would give full support to Tata Realty; to build an international standard airport in the Adityapur-Gamharia region of Seraikela-Kharsawan district. He has announced that within four years, every village would have roads and electricity supply.
