The AIFF committee is going to meet on Sunday and expected to take a final decision on appointing I-League Chief Executive Officer. It will also announce Federation Cup final round draws on the same day.
AIFF committee’s earlier meet was held on November 12 in which current AIFF Competition Director Anil Kamat, former Mahindra coach Harish Rao and Leisure Sports Management top official Sunando Dhar appeared for the interview for the CEO’s post.
Vice-presidents Subrata Dutta added, "The main matters on the agenda are on I-League CEO's post, Federation Cup final round draw, discussion on the five foreigner issue, I-League review and the senior national and Under-23 side camps in Goa."
A new I-League Committee is also expected to be formed by the AIFF comprising President Praful Patel, Vice-presidents Subrata Dutta, AR Khaleel and Ankur Dutta, Treasurer Hardev Jadeja and General Secretary Alberto Colaco.
The committee will also seek views from state association for allowing foreigners in the I-League club. Meanwhile, national captain Bhaichung Bhutia and Coach Bob Houghton added that more foreigners would reduce the pool of Indian players in the team, mitigating their chances of selection.
