Alcatel-Lucent join hands; enter an agreement with BT
The mutual contract that saw Alcatel-Lucent enters in a five-year agreement with BT for an evolution of BT's superfast 21st Century Network (21CN).
This deal which works in close union with both the parties seeks to utilise Alcatel-Lucent's High Leverage NetworkTM (HLN) architecture and transformational services. This in turn boosts BT's infrastructure helping it set up the new video-rich services to its wholesale and retail subscribers.
This technology ensures a positive directional move enabling a steadier, pumped performance, with a simultaneous increase in capacity and bandwidth for a broader customer base.
George Nazi, managing director, BT 21CN Core Convergence, commenting on this initiative said, "21CN is a huge transformational programme.
It's about providing a network for the future which requires a game-changing approach." He further added that this strategic alliance will aid in keeping 21CN abreast with the latest innovation and radical changes.
