Amitabh Again Lands In Barabanki Problem; To Face Police ProbeBollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan will face a probe after an UP court directed police officials to take a look at a claim of cheating a village dweller by not constructing a women's college in his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai's name.

The complaint was registered on May 29 by the village head of Daulatpur village, Raj Kumari, about 40 km from here in Barabanki region, before the chief judicial magistrate, who had fixed May 31 for hearing.

The UP court directed police officials to accomplish preliminary probe and present a report on June 10.

The court is also projected to take a final verdict on the complaint to get a criminal case lodged against Amitabh for failing to keep his promise to the villageres, where he had acquired land, that he would build there a college for women.

The complaint said that Bachchan's closeness to former Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh allegedly assisted him to get agricultural land allotted to him via fake means.

Big B bought private land. He visited Daulatpur in the year 2006 together with Mr. Singh, wife Jaya, son Abhishek and Aishwarya to declare amidst much fanfare that he would build a women's college.

The complainant also alleged that she was intimidated and threatened by Bachchan's men as she had questioned the mega star's "false" declaration. (With Inputs from Agencies)
