According to an official, the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) will provide free treatment for cleft lip, palate and correction of nose disfigurations with the help of a group of German specialists.

AMU's Assistant Public Relations Officer Zeeshan Ahmad stated, "The varsity's department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery has tied up with experts from Germany to offer the treatment that will be free of cost."

"Nothing would be charged for the treatment. Those who want to avail it will have to get their registration done at a camp June 6. Registration is mandatory and no fee would be charged for it," Ahmad added.

The officials said that patients, who had gone through surgical operation elsewhere but still live with some residual deformities, can also avail the benefits of the cure free of charge. (With Inputs from Agencies)
