Apollo Hospitals Group with its recent expansion program is planning to open 11 more hospitals in the coming fiscal year that lists an additional 2,000 more beds to the existing 8,800 beds, reports the Financial Express. The total cost of this is expected to be close to Rs. 1,800-crore.
The company has also planned to upgrade its technology to the next levels in its super-specialty hospitals.
Apollo Hospital understands the growing demand for high-quality and low-cost hospitals in the country. And it is trying to make the most from it.
In accordance with this thought, Pratap C Reddy, Chairman of Apollo Group stated that, "We are looking to add about 900 beds in the next six weeks in Bhubaneswar, Lavasa, Kolkata and Secunderabad".
Further, in addition to this, the Chairman said that it is introducing new technologies such as Cyberknife and Novalis Tx.
On financial aspects, the group is investing Rs. 400 crore for the proposed upgradation that will take place in four of its cancer hospitals. Here, the company will provide bone marrow transplant facility as well.
It is also gearing up its stem cell bank in Ahmadabad.
