Apple may charge $1 million to display mobile ad
The Wall Street Journal has informed that for displaying advertisements on its mobile devices Apple Inc. may charge about $1 million. The paper has also said that the rates may be even more. Apple has introduced its new advertising platform for its iPhone and iPad.
Taking the growing market of advertisement in to consideration, Apple has decided to apply some new tactics. According to experts this move of Apple is going to help the thousands of application developers. This may be a source of revenue for them.
The company has also indicated that it may charge more than that of $10 million for the purpose.
According to the Journal, the company is one among the limited number of service providers. Hence its quotation is having a very high price. As per another executive this price is almost the same as the market value.
They minimum pay for the purpose is in between $100,000 and $200,000. So far as the revenue sharing plan is concerned the application developers will receive 60%of the revenue and Apple will get the remaining 40%.
