India’s Armaan Ebrahim, who faced a fatal accident in Belgium three weeks ago, has made a strong comeback with finishing in the top ten in eighth round of the FIA Formula Two championship at Brands Hatch, UK, on Sunday.
Armaan, who finished at the 22nd position in the qualifying round, surpassed eight cars in the 18-lap race, which included two red flags events and one safety car.
The Chennai boy Armaan had survived in a deadly accident last month when his car went off-tack and crashed with the wall in Formula 2 qualifying session in Belgium.
Armaan moved to 18th position at the end of first lap after starting from 22nd spot, and he clocked a timing of 52:34:592 to finish at the 10th position in the race.
After the race, Armaan said that this weekend was very tough for him as he has just recovered from a huge crash in the Belgium and some more laps would bring back his confident.
Austrian Philipp Eng emerged victorious in the Race One, while Spain’s Andy Soucek registered win in the Race Two.
