Asus Eee PC 1000H to be Replaced by 1002HA

Asus Eee PC 1000HSoon, the Asus Eee PC 1000H model of netbooks would be replaced by the company with the 1002HA. Though almost similar design is featured by the new netbook, it has a thinner profile.

A brushed metal external shell and front mounted speakers and the same system specifications as the older model with a 1.6 GHz Intel N270 Atom Processor, 1GB of RAM, 160GB hard disk would also be featured by 1002HA. The new model will be powered by Windows XP.

A two cell 4200mAh battery would also be included in the new model. The company claims that the battery will last for five hours, because of the 'Super Hybrid Engine Technology'.

The price of 1002HA would of course be higher than 1000H. A 10-inch display, which can display a resolution of 1024x768 will also be featured by the new netbook and 10GB of free online storage space would be gained by the users via Asus' Eee Storage.

The price of the 1002HA would be US$499 (Rs 24,500) for the American market where it will arrive on 1st December, while for European markets; it has been priced at €449 (Rs 28,200).
