Aurobindo Pharma Ltd., which is primarily based in India, has reportedly received the final nod for its anti - allergic drug, Cetirizine Hydrochloride Solution from the USFDA. The approval for the drug is under the OTC category which is also called the over - the - counter category for products.

The drug is basically the copycat or the generic version of the Zyrtec solution, which is consumed orally, from McNeil Consumer Healthcare. This drug, which basically falls under the anti - allergic segment, is prescribed for allergic rhinitis in both adults and children who are more than two years of age. It is also a good cure against the cases of itching that is caused due to hives.

After the final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration, it was also reported that the shares of Aurobindo Pharma had gone up by 2.78 per cent or about Rs. 25.1 and it also traded at a good value of about Rs. 926.60 with the total volume of the shares that were traded was about 63,005 at the stock exchange (BSE) at closing time on Thursday.
