The Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss and yoga guru Baba
Ramdev have joined hands in their fight against tobacco, alcohol and chips.
Mr. Ramadoss has already ruffled many feathers in Bollywood with his drive against smoking, alcohol and junk food.
Shahrukh said, “It is just cinema. We should not have huge censorship on what to do and what not to do in cinema.”
In nearly the same tone, actor Saif Ali Khan who also endorses the famous Lays chips said, “I ask the gentlemen with great respect to take it easy because eating junk food and chips is part of life.”
Actress Sharmila Tagore said, “What he should really do, I think, is to do something about the fake medicines.”
In the meantime, Ramadoss looks to bring some of Baba Ramdev’s yoga in his fight against celebrities encouraging evil products.
But, what is sure to bring delight to the Health Minister is the enthusiasm displayed by Baba Ramdev.
Baba Ramdev said, “It is scientifically proven that alcohol, tobacco and junk food such as burgers, pizza etc are poisonous for a human being's body. I hail the Health Minister’s drive against junk food.”
Ramadoss impressed with Baba Ramdev’s yoga said, “Ramdev is doing a fantastic job of propagating yoga and it has been scientifically proven that yoga is good for health.”
“We will support Ramdev,” he added.
Praising Ramdev, Ramadoss said that he would shortly meet HRD Minister Arjun Singh and ask him to make yoga obligatory in both private and government schools.
