Badmaash Company - Movie Review!

Badmaash Company - Movie Review!Karan (Shahid Kapoor) is obvious that he doesn't wish to spend his life as a employee drone like his father. He dreams of becoming rich quickly. He begins as a carrier for a small-time smuggler and finally moves his way up to bigger con jobs and bigger bucks. Three pals Bulbul (Anushka), Zing (Meiyang Chang) and Chandu (Vir Das) join him on this high level ride, which finishes in self-destructive decadence, greed, war, split up, regret and different life lessons learnt with vital one being honesty is the best policy.

While the first part still holds in concert owing to the bonding between the four pals. Problems turn up a lot during the second half that makes the film a complete depressant. What makes it less stimulating is the truth that after shifting to Manhattan the roles attempts to replicate the exact same plan, which they had done in India making it all an unsurprisingly boring watch. Karan's lawful but totally strange plan involving a line of defective shirts addressed the Bleeding Madras looks totally foolish.

Actor turned director Parmeet Sethi could have produce a better script. Thought in fact it appears well intended, it offers nothing new despite a few oft repeated moral lessons. The casino shot episodes remind you of Kevin Spacey starrer 21.

Shahid is very good and so is Anushka Sharma in her hot new spicy avatar entirely opposite to her debut character in RNBDJ. Meiyang Chang looks cool and Vir Das is very funny Pawan Malhotra and Anupam Kher are good in the limited capacity they get to exhibit their talent.

Also on the upside is Pritam's lively score. All the songs have been shot splendidly.

Badmaash Company is not a failure but it just doesn't offer anything novel. Watch it only if you are a big Shahid fan. (With Inputs from Agencies)
