Bajaj Auto Q1 net profit up 67.4% Bajaj Auto, India's second largest two-wheeler maker has informed that it has clocked a decent 67.4% jump in its unaudited standalone net profit for the three month period ended June 30.

During the period under review, the company has reported unaudited standalone net profit of Rs 293.49 crore as compared to Rs175.11 crore in the year-ago period.

The company stated in a communiqué that its unaudited standalone total income in the latest quarter surged by 1.47% to Rs 2,338.47 crore as against Rs 2,304.67 crore in the same period last fiscal.

However, company's total sales in the same quarter witnessed a dip of 11.68% which stood at 5,47,662 units as against 6,20,095 units in the first quarter of the previous fiscal.

Motorcycle sales fell by 13.58% to 4,82,749 units in Q1 of Financial Year 2010 from 5,58,633 units in the Q1 of FY 2009.

Scrip of Bajaj Auto ended the day in green at Rs 1,150, up 5.12% on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
