Ballmer to speak at CES 2011CEO of Microsoft, Steve Ballmer has been asked to give an opening key note address at the Consumer Electronics Show 2011 as stated by the Consumer Electronics Association.

The CES 2011 to be held in January next year might open with the key not of CEO as it happened this year.

Ballmer spoke about various Windows 7-based tablet devices but none of them seemed to touch base till date.

Gary Shapiro, the Conference chief and the head of the CEA, said, “As leader of one of the world's most innovative technology companies, a keynote address from Steve Ballmer is the perfect way to kick off the 2011 International CES."

The IT giant is supposedly stung with a number of failed consumer devices including its Courier tablet and its Kin, the social networking smartphone.

Hence it has no option, but to look ahead to improve its consumer track record.
