Ban to smoke in the car, gains strong supportLighting a cigarette inside your own car, may put one behind bars or call for a hefty fine, senior doctors urged the previous day.

It is believed that people who do passive smoking have risen to 22,000 in number, with new cases of asthma and wheezing in children, claims a report from the Royal College of Physicians (RCP). It is believed that around 20,000 chest infections, 120,000 bouts of middle ear disease and 200 cases of meningitis in youngsters were also associated to second-hand smoking.

This report and similarly related studies have increased concerns in the age group of individuals. This has led to report a stark warning to anyone who smokes around babies and children.

Meanwhile the serious damage caused by passive smoking has a toll on long-term health and well-being of children is entirely unavoidable and must be prevented, says Janet Davies, of the Royal College of Nursing.
