On Saturday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) conveyed that the draw for the inaugural edition of the Corporate Cup will be decided on July 27, which is scheduled to start from September 1.
All the representative of 12 teams including Tata Sports Club, Air India (Mumbai), IOC, BPCL, India Cements, MRF, Air India (Delhi), ONGC, BSNL, ITC, Combined PSU team and Central Board of Direct Taxes
(CBDT), were present at the Cricket Centre where they were informed about the modalities of the tournament.
BCCI also selected Bangalore, Chennai, Cuttack, Visakhapatnam, Mohali and Dharamsala as the venues for the matches of the 50 overs knock out tournament.
A senior official of the BCC informed that there would be four groups from which one team from each will qualify to the semifinals and six venues have been shortlist for the matches of the tournament.
He further said that all the teams could contract only full time employees and only four first-class players who have been still playing cricket.
