Being a housewife is toughest job in world: Preity Zinta

Mumbai (India), Feb. 3 : The ever smiling and Bollywood's most bubbly actor Preity Zinta is all set to make a comeback to the big screen this year. She admits it's not easy for working women to sit at home.

The 42 year-old, who recently walked the ramp as a show-stopper for designer Sanjukta Dutta's label Mekhela Chador at Lakme Fashion Week Summer 2017, said being a housewife is the toughest job in the world.

"You get no appreciation and you have to work 24x7 and you never get time off. So people like us, who are professionals, we get that kind of gratitude from our work space. I think women in general are super women, because they always do two jobs. If they are married, they take care of home and on professional front they work," she said.

On the ramp, she was seen sporting a black mekhela with beautiful embroidery in red, orange, yellow threads and gold prints.

When asked about women centric movies being made in Bollywood, she said, "I don't think there are woman-centric films. I think there is a great story. If you look at my first film 'Kya Kehna', then you will say it was a woman-centric film. I don't look at it like that... I think a great story is very important."

The star also talked about how lucky she is to get such a supportive husband like Gene Goodenough, who pushed her to do movies again.

"I am happy and lucky that I am married to somebody who pushed me back into doing a movie..Because I thought I don't want to do any more films and I moved to the business side of life," the actress said.

On a related note, She will next be seen in 'Bhaiyyaji Superhit', alongside Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel.(ANI)
