Berlin  - Hertha Berlin completed the signing Thursday of Swedish central defender Rasmus Bengtsson from Trelleborg FF on a three-year deal.

"We are very happy that were able to sign up Rasmus Bengtsson. As an Under-21 and national team member he was in demand by a lot of Europe's top clubs," said Hertha club manager Michael Preetz.

"Rasmus is a player who can develop, has very good technique and so in well with us," said coach Lucien Favre.(dpa)
