Bihar CM Promises Govt Jobs To Medal-Winning Players

Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish KumarPatna: Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar has assured government jobs for players winning medals while symbolizing the state at national and international events.

While addressing an occasion organized by the state art and youth affairs section to congratulate players on the occasion of 'khel diwas' yesterday, Mr. Kumar stated that the state government would provide jobs for players who won medals and brought pride to the state, while taking part to national as well as international levels.

"Such prominent medalists from the state need not apply for jobs forthwith as the state government itself will go to them offering jobs on the pattern of private sectors," Mr. Kumar added.

Kumar also declared that state government would raise sports quota in the government jobs.

The CM also brought out the sports promotion plan at the function.

Stressing the need for generating an atmosphere conducive for sports promotion in Bihar, Kumar told the state government was making all-possible attempts to perk up sports infrastructure.
