London - A 16-year-old boy in England is being treated for sever burns and a cardiac arrest Sunday, after being hit by lightning.

Massive thunderstorms hit Britain on Saturday night, where the boy was playing with friends in park in Birmingham, in the midlands.

The 16-year old was said to be in a "critical, but stable" condition after the lightning strike.

Five other teenagers were hurt in the incident, with three remaining in hospital Sunday. One of the teenagers suffered from convulsions. (dpa)
