State owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd launched much awaited IPTV service in Kolkata under the brand name 'MyWay', enabling the city's residents to enjoy high quality television programs with broadband internet connection using fixed line and a set top box.

People in 15 cities including Delhi, Kanpur, Varanasi, Dehradun, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad are already enjoying IPTV service while 39 more cities will soon get added in the network.

The service launched in partnership with Smart Digivision Private Limited on Friday will offer video, games, music and education as per customer's demand under a unique two way interactive system. The state owned firm also working out more features such as  like personalized stock ticker, interactive viewing, e-mail access, chat and information regarding weather conditions in order to make IPTV service more customer friendly.

BSNL subscribers can access more than 126 channels and ask for movies on demand anytime. MyWay IPTV would initially provide more than 120 movies. However, more movies will be added in the coming months.

Mr. Tejvinder Singh, general manager (sales), Smart Digivision Private Limited said that the company will try its best to make the service more useful for customers adding information on different tourist spots and railways reservation facility.
