BT will regulate fibre broadband network

BT will regulate fibre broadband networkNew regulations come in straight from the EU who plans to hand over the control back to BT.

Thus making it more powerful and at the same time controlling competitors to access the new fibre optic broadband network.

As of now a copper networking system known as Local Loop Unbundling (LLU) aids in the accessibility of other such broadband providers with a wide network span in exchange of installation of their own equipment thus facilitating to offer a cheaper broadband.

However, the new implementation of new regulations and reforms indicate that competitors can now access to the new fibre installations via a Virtual Unbundled Local Access (VULA).

In the meantime this adds to the fact that the competitors will have an added control over the customer's line in case of BT who shall soon be installing the equipment on exchange of their desired prices the simple reason being the lack of any caps on pricing when it comes to VULA.
