Officials said on Thursday that the second day the bulls ran in Pamplona, Spain, saw seven people injured, including two who were gored.

The Irish Times has reported that one man was gored in the thorax and listed in serious condition while the other man was gored in the left leg, an injury health officials said wasn't life-threatening.

The Irish newspaper also said that the bulls and steer, used as a guide for the bulls, run through the cobbled streets of Pamplona every day at 8 a. m. during the week-long San Fermin festival. The 902-yard course ends at the bullring for a bullfight later in the day in which the bulls are killed.

It has further been reported that the run in Pamplona began 400 years ago but gained worldwide popularity after American author Ernest Hemingway wrote about it in his book "The Sun Also Rises." (With inputs from Agencies)
