Elecon Engineering Company, maker of mechanical handling equipment, announced that it has secured prestigious order worth Rs 1.2 billion from Mundra Port and Special Economic Zone of Adani Group.
According to sources, the company has won the contract for design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of material handling system for West Port, Mundra.
Elecon is the first conglomerate in India to have manufactured sophisticated equipment for bulk material handling.
Following a similar move by Jet Airways, Vijay Mallya-controlled Kingfisher Airlines announced that it would pay a 3 percent commission on the total ticket price to travel agents.
A Kingfisher spokesman stated that the commission would come into effect from Friday (Dec 12).
The spokesperson also said that Kingfisher has also backed away its transaction charge on tickets, which was introduced following the abolishment of a 5% commission to travel agents on October 31.
Union government had withdrawn the affidavit from the Bombay High Court, which was filed over RIL-RNRL gas dispute case. The affidavit was filed by the oil ministry, explaining the contractual violations over the sale of Krishna-Godavari basin gas.
