Global food retail chain Spar has revealed that the company has commenced its Indian operations on Friday by kicking off its first supermarket at Hyderabad.
The company has forayed in the Indian market under a license pact with global retail major Landmark Group's Indian subsidiary Max Hypermarkets.
Under the pact, Max Hypermarkets will be responsible for the entire business operation- from capex outlay to routine operations including the management of the supermarket, while Spar would offer knowledge transfer and technical expertise.
Media and Entertainment major Inox Leisure has informed that the company is searching the options to pump Rs 4.5 billion in the coming 2 years with the aim to put up additional 206 screens across India.
Currently, the company manages 94 screens in 27 multiplexes across the country.
The source close to the company revealed that of the proposed 206 screens, around 50 would come up in West Bengal and Assam.
Vishal Retail has informed that the company has opened a new showroom in Ghaziabad.
According to the sources, the proposed showroom has build on 8,870 sq.ft of land.
With the establishment of this showroom, Vishal Retail now has 160 stores spread across the country and are covered an area of around 27,63,000 sq.ft.
Vishal Retail engages in the marketing of readymade apparels, household merchandise, and other consumer goods like footwear, watches, toys, toiletries, grocery items, sports items, crockery, novelties and gifts.
Parsvnath Developers, India’s leading real estate firm has revealed that the company has secured a contract worth Rs 29.5 crore from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
Under the proposed contract, the company will execute construction of station box in the upcoming Dhaula Kuan metro station that connects Connaught place to International Airport.
