New Delhi: HCL Infosystems has declared results for fourth quarter that ended on June 30, 2007. It recorded about 13 per cent increase in consolidated net profit for the year ended June 2007, which stood at Rs 315.95 crore.
The company has also announced that it has pocketed Rs 500-crore deal from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. HCL’s consolidated gross sales in the same period was also up at Rs 11,855.43 crore as against Rs 11,454.97 crore in the corresponding period of the last year.
Tata Consultancy Services will appoint 2,000 science grads, generally from Tier III cities and rustic regions, and turn them into software masters in the existing fiscal.
Mr S. Ramadorai, CEO and Managing Director, TCS said these candidates will be dealt as TCS employees from the first day, but will get 30 per cent lesser pay as compared to the engineering graduates.
At 11:40 am, Patni Computer Systems is quoting at Rs 392.25, and up Rs 28.30, or 7.78%. It has reached an intraday high of Rs 403.90 and low of Rs 379. The company has shown good performance in the past. The guidance for the next quarters is also good.
