Capello finally sees plusses of giving winter break to his players

London, Oct 10: England coach Fabio Capello has said that a winter break ahead of their 2010 World Cup campaign in South Africa would help his players.

England’s astounding 5-1 win over Croatia last month has already secured their place in the finals of the 2010 World Cup, and now there are not many international games left for the side.

“It would be good for the players,” The Sun quoted Capello, as saying.

“I know that when I was manager of Real Madrid, when we played against the German sides in the Champions League after a month''s holiday, everyone was fresh,” he added.

Earlier, Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson had argued that England should follow the lead set by Germany amongst others and stop the season for a couple of weeks.

However, Capello was not too keen with the idea, as according to him there is no scope for any complacency. (ANI)
