Certain Affinity to work on XBLA’s ‘Crimson Alliance’
Certain Affinity, development house that worked on popular various Halo map packs, Left 4 Dead, and Black Ops, are believed to be working on a XBLA action role-playing game (RPG) named, ‘Crimson Alliance’.
The Crimson Alliance game, which is expected to be released this summer, is a singleplayer or cooperative title with RPG characters. The palyers will have to choose from an Assassin character, Wizard, and Mercenary and fight against the Cult of the Soul Siren.
Each class will have a certain specialty, with five specific abilities attached to it. The Assassin has the power to control time; the Wizard has elemental mastery while the Mercenary possesses impressive skills in martial arts. They can raise the level by collecting Soul Anchors that contain heroic spirits or by finding treasure.
Certain Affinity's president Max Hoberman said, "One of the reasons I started Certain Affinity was because I wanted to make a game like this. An action RPG with clever AI, fantastic physics and deep emergent gameplay that can be enjoyed with friends in the living room or halfway across the globe -- Crimson Alliance is that game, finally!”
Certain Affinity has also already worked for XBLA on Age of Booty, a pirate-themed real time strategy game.
