China clinches all Asian TT titles

table tennisOnce again China reaffirmed its dominance in the world table tennis as China won all singles and doubles titles in the 19th Asian Table Tennis Championships at UP Badminton Academy Hall in Lucknow on Sunday.

It was all Chinese affair on the last day as expect women's doubles finals all the other finals including men's singles, women's singles and men's doubles were played between Chinese players. The final of the women's doubles event was held between Chinese and Korean girls.

The world no 2, Ma Long won the men's singles title after defeating his 19th ranked compatriot Zhang Jike 4-2 in the final. Long and his Chinese partner Xu Xin crushed their country-mates Wang Liqin and Jike 4-0 to clinch the men's doubles title.

Ding Ning, world no 9, upset world no. 4 Li Xiaoxia 4-3 in the final to lift the women's singles crown. Ning and Li Xiaoxia won the women's doubles title after ousting Korean pair of Kim Kyung Ah and Park Mi Young 11-9, 9-11, 12-10, 12-14, 11-9, 13-11
