Here’s a unique method to educate children about a deadly disease.

In a first of its kind effort aimed at educating children on the disease of malaria in the northeast (NE) part of India, a Shillong-based content and service provider Chillibreeze Solutions has come up with a new comic.

The new comic named as 'A Tale of Two Magic Potions' is considered as the first-ever health comic book in the country among the students of Class V standard of three schools in Shillong.

The comic is planned to teach the school-going children on the virulence of the disease.

With a view to determine the success of the comic book, the company staff conducted pre-distribution and post-distribution quiz contests.

Moreover, the staff of chillibreeze first explained the format of the contest to the students before giving them 10 minutes to complete the multiple choice questions.

It should be noted here that malaria has been a major health problem in India and there were 75 million malaria cases and 0.8 million deaths in 1947.
