Commonwealth Business Forum will aid in information dissemination: India
Kampala (Uganda), Nov 22 : Minister of State for Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ashwini Kumar, has said that Commonwealth Business Forum would help in disseminating more information.
The forum is being held on the sidelines of the 53-nation Commonwealth Summit being held in Uganda.
"As the shift of economic power in the world is taking place I have no doubt that fora such as the Commonwealth Business Forum will help in disseminating more information about the possibilities of business in the commonwealth countries," said Kumar.
Founded in 1931, the Commonwealth is made up of 53 former British colonies whose leaders meet biennially to discuss issues affecting member countries. Climate change is expected to be high on the agenda of this year's meeting.
Ashwini Kumar also expressed his concern over the land row violence in Nandigram in West Bengal.
"The kind of violence that we have seen in Nandigram puts all of us to shame; I think Nandigram has been a grave onslaught on the rule of law and it has been a grave onslaught on what our values tell us, our must be dear to us," said Kumar. (ANI)
