Competition for best ideas initiated by Google with prize money of $ 10mn

With the aim to convert the best ideas into useful product ends, Google has unveiled a competition under which the person with the most unique and best idea will win the prize money of $10 million.

This competition has been launched as part of celebrations, for the company has completed its 10 years. The people have been asked to submit their ideas within seven categories to the project called 10th to 100th.

An announcement made on the website of the company informed, “Never in history have so many people had so much information, so many tools at their disposal, so many ways of making good ideas come to life. Yet at the same time, so many people, of all walks of life, could use so much help, in both little ways and big.”

The competition which includes seven categories namely sustainable energy use, environment, health, education, shelter, encouraging communities, and building opportunities is open to be  everyone. There is also an eighth category which has been dubbed as “everything else”.

The participants can submit their ideas through filling a form available on the website, which includes questions like, “If your idea were to become a reality, who would benefit the most and how?” and “Describe the optimal outcome should your idea be selected and successfully implemented.”

The prize money would be divided among the winners equally, who would be chosen by independent judges. Google’s website also informed that they are looking for simple ideas that could be converted into reality and could help large number of people, specially those who have some immediate needs.
