Scientists have discovered that consuming high amount of alcohol can lead to permanent brain damage in teens.
Researchers said that binge drinking in a short time can result in irreversible damage and in the long run, youngsters can become absent-minded and forgetful.
Previous studies have found that high levels of alcohol serve as poison and stop the brain from working in the right manner.
Researchers have now discovered that too much alcohol can actually tear down grey matter known as the hippocampus that stores and recalls events and forms mental images, called spatial reasoning. (With Inputs from Agencies)
