German gaming company, Crytek has a website that the rumors suggesting it has received a development kit from Microsoft for the next generation Xbox gaming console is false.

Crytek also pointed out that it does not have any idea about when the new Xbox console, sometimes referred to as Xbox 720, will be launched by Microsoft. The new statements from the company, contradict earlier reports that Microsoft was planning to unveil the new gaming system at next year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).

“Relating to the recent rumors, Crytek do not have any next generation hardware from Microsoft, nor do we know when Microsoft may announce future hardware or what that hardware will entail,” the company said.

The company also said that it is working on new frontiers in technology and on DX11 which will be released shortly as an update for Crysis 2.

Microsoft has not announced details about the much anticipated Xbox720 console.
