Customers complain most about TalkTalk, 3UK, says OfcomAccording to the latest data released by UK communication regular, Ofcom, telecom carriers TalkTalk and 3UK were the most complained about carriers in the UK between April and June this year.

TalkTalk topped the list for most complaints received by Ofcom for both landline telephones and fixed broadband services while 3UK topped the list for mobile services.

The report was created on the after looking into all the consumer complaints received by the regulator and then ranking carriers as a proportion of their customer base.

For landline connections, TalkTalk recorded 0.8 complaints per 1,000 customers after an improvement in performance over the last quarter. In segment, Virgin Media was the least complained about operator with 0.15 complaints per 1,000 customers.

TalkTalk topped the list for its fixed broadband services with 0.58 complaints per 1,000 customers. An improvement was also noted in this segment by the regulator. Virgin was most favorable here too with just 0.15 per 1,000 customers.

3UK topped the list for mobile services recording 0.14 complaints per 1,000 customers. The number of complaints increased mainly due to disputed charges and customer service issues, according to Ofcom. O2 was the least complained about operator for mobile service with just 0.02 complaints per 1,000 customers.

The regulator clarified that the report is only based on complaints received by it and does not look at issued solved by the carriers themselves. It added that it receives about 350 telecoms complaints a day from consumers.
