Dacoit claims politicians approaching them for help in elections

India MapHanuman Ganj, Feb 21 : Dacoits in western Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh have claimed that some politicians are sending them feelers for help in the forthcoming elections.

Rudal Yadav, a dacoit, said some politicians had requested him for help.

Bihar and Uttar Pradesh have declared a reward of Rupees 50, 000 and Rupees 10,000 respectively on Yadav.

He refused to divulge the name of the politicians, but said he controls elections in Hanuman Ganj and Khadda districts of Uttar Pradesh.

"Many politicians come to ask for help and assistance from us. They cannot win without our support in these constituencies. We try to convince the public and also threaten them to vote for the candidate. We make a candidate win. It is all done for money,' Yadav said.

Yadav's associate Bhola Paswan blamed politicians and administration for turning him into a criminal.

Rudal Yadav operates from a thick forest bordering Bagaha in Bihar's West Champaran District.

Yadav has promised to surrender if the government agrees to his demands. (ANI)
