Dell does its bit for the environment

Dell-LogoDell, the company accredited for making powerful laptops such as Alienware, has once again taken a revolutionary step ahead.

This time it's the environment which has taken the centre stage. It has initiated two projects- Dell Go Green Challenge and the Discount Coupons plan.

The Discount Coupons are directed towards those who would want to donate their old systems for refurbishing. They would then be handed over coupons worth Rs. 1,000.

These coupons can subsequently be used as discount coupons during a future purchase of Dell products.

The second one is the Go Green initiatives. This invites pictures, videos and other inventive depictions of key eco-issues or thoughts, which are related to green technology. As per the plans, the award winning entry would be handsomely awarded. The winner will be given various Dell products.

Dell was in fact the first computer company to offer consumers free recycling worldwide.
