It has been confirmed from BCCI that Dhoni won't be sacked. He will remain the captain of the Indian cricket team. The Indian Skipper is facing the heat after the Twenty20 World Cup debacle in West Indies. There were certain reports in the media that he will be removed from the captaincy.

Media has reported that BCCI is planning to sack him as T20 and ODI captain and hand over the charge to some other player. Media reports have also informed that Virendra Sehwag and Goutam Gambhir were tipped to be the captain of the team in the shorter formats of the game.

But finally, BCCI has come in to the picture to clear the whole issue. It has denied all such reports and has informed that there is no such planning and Dhoni will stay as the captain of the Team India. It has also said that all such reports are baseless. The board has come out in support of Dhoni and said that it's unfair to blame the captain only for the poor performance. It's rather a collective defeat.
