Rahul Mahajan’s newlywed wife Dimpy Ganguly wants her loving hubby to enter political line like his father, late Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pramod Mahajan, rather than be in the entertainment industry.

Dimpy, whom Rahul married on a highly-watched and much talked about reality show "Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega”, said, "I really want him (Rahul) to pursue a political career.”

To this, an elated Rahul stated, "I'll first manage my home and once that is settled, I'll manage the country."

Previously, Rahul also took part in reality show "Bigg Boss."

The 21-year-old Dimpy, who is from Kolkata, is a model and actress by profession.

She defeated other two finalists Nikunj Malik and Harpreet Chabbra apart from more than 16,500 candidates allover the country to be Rahul's dulhaniya.

She also said that she will continue to work after marriage.

"Rahul doesn't want me to be a housewife. So I'll work. But I don't know yet what I will be doing," said Dimpy, who was sporting a red wedding outfit designed by Neeta Lulla, the traditional 'mangal sutra' in her neck and vermillion on her forehead.

Rahul had vowed to get married on national television and he kept his promise by doing so with Dimpy, in spite of the recent death of his uncle Praveen Mahajan.

The couple will be registering their marriage on Tuesday in Mumbai.

Rahul’s mother Rekha Mahajan was there during the lavish wedding ceremony and gave blessings to the couple.

Dimpy's family as well as several TV celebs attended the glitzy event at the Leela Kempinski Hotel in Mumbai. (With Input from Agencies)
