After a rather subdued existence, post his break-up with Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor is once again in news with his film 'Kaminey;' as is his 'dumped lover-boy' image.

In fact, the of late frequent mention of the names of Kareena and her current flame, Saif Ali Khan, in Shahid-related news is having a disquieting effect on the couple as well as their family and friends.

People close to Kareena and Saif feel that recurrent reference to the couple in conversations surrounding Shahid is more than just a mere coincidence each time - Shahid apparently is playing the "injured innocence" image too often for either Kareena's or Saif's comfort, to garner publicity.

Those close to Kareena say that while she has maintained a dignified silence after her break-up with Shahid, and 'moved on' with Saif; Shahid has seemingly not come out of the broken relationship, and plays up the card whenever he finds an opportune moment.

Kareena was visibly upset when she was said to be causing a rift between Shahid and his current girlfriend, Priyanka Chopra. Reacting to the news, an infuriated Kareena said: "Why am I being dragged into all this? I've moved on and I wish Shahid Kapur would also do so. Nothing can separate Saif and me. Certainly not these silly attempts to drag me back to a past I've left behind. Please leave us alone."
