EA Mobile, the mobile gaming arm of Electronic Arts (EA), has made announcement about the launching of its five (5) new mobile games in the market.

The newly launched games include The Sims 2 Castaway, The Sims Pool, Monopoly Here and Now, Yahtzee Adventure and Merv Griffin’s Crossword.

Travis Boatman, Vice President of Worldwide Studios, EA Mobile said, “EA Mobile continues to create and distribute games that compel potential customers to download and play games on mobile devices.”

“The wide range of handsets, from everyday devices to sophisticated 3G phones, and the iPod, provides great platforms that foster and satisfy consumer demand for anytime entertainment,” Mr. Travis added.

In the ‘Sims 2 Castaway,’ gamers will be in a remote island in order to find hidden pirate treasures in jungles, lagoons, and beaches.

‘The Sims Pool’ is really a fun game that allows gamers to customize their character while playing by using one-button control to enjoy the sporting experience.

In ‘Monopoly Here and Now’ mobile game, the gamers can buy and sell properties including Waikiki Beach, Fenway Park amongst many others.

‘The Yahtzee Adventure’ game lets gamers to travel around the world by just spinning a dice, while ‘Merv Griffin’s Crossword’ is a mobile version of a popular American TV show. The gamers can select and customize the avatar of their choice.

As of now, the new mobile games are available only vis US carriers except for ‘Yahtzee Adventure’, which is available through iTunes as well.
