Ek Second…Jo Zindagi Badal De: Movie Review!

Ek Second…Jo Zindagi Badal De: Movie Review!Saroj Entertainment P Ltd.'s 'Ek Second…Jo Zindagi Badal De' has finally been released all over. The hype of the movie was running on all the satellite channels producing the suspense quotient for film buffs as to what will happen on screen with the characters!

The name itself generates the suspense in plenty but in spite of all the hoopla and the captivating catch-line, the movie failed to woo viewers.

The film witnessed feeble opening everywhere even in the metros too.

Partho Ghosh is that movie maker whose flicks are appreciated by the audiences and the critics alike. His earlier works included - 100 Days (starring Madhuri Dixit and Jackie Shroff), Agni Sakshi (Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar and Manisha Koirala) and Dalaal (Mithun Chakraborty and Ayesha Jhulka).

'Ek Second…Jo Zindagi Badal De' narrates the tale, rather the stories of Rashi (Manisha Koirala) who is engaged to the well-known novelist Shantanu Rai (Moammar Rana). She is totally ignorant of all the girls who were present in Shantanu's life earlier. Then fate plays a game bringing Rashi head to head with circumstances when she loses her job and misses her train, the very same day.

After this, the film's story gets split in two parts. One where Rashi is unable to catch the train and what follows thereafter and second one where she manages to catch a train and meet Yuvraj (Jackie Shroff) - who is a fun loving and kind hearted person.

The plot is blatantly copied from Gwyneth Paltrow starrer Sliding Doors (1998) which incidentally wasn't much of a BO success, ESJZBD is a total dud.

The film shows that Partho Ghosh has completely lost his technical finesses. Manisha Koirala fails to create any interest due to her laid back style of acting. Jackie Shroff also looks disinterested. Pakistani actor Moammar Rana is mechanical. Nikita Anand looks hot and indulges in an uninhibited body display but displays very little of her acting talent. Rozza Catalano is just about okay but dances well in the item song. The producer of the film Suniel makes a blunder by casting himself in the film. (With Inputs from Agencies)
