Elvis hair to be auctioned
Los Angeles - A lock of hair that was shorn from the head of Elvis Presley when he joined the US Army in 1958 is going up for auction.
The locks are part of an Elvis memorabilia collection being offered by Leslie Hindman auctioneers on Sunday in Chicago. The collection, which belonged to former Presley fan club president Gary Pepper, includes stage clothes, records and Christmas cards.
Pepper died in 1980 and left the collection to his nurse, who is now putting it up for sale. Estimates put the sale price of the hair at between 8,000 and 12,000 dollars. (dpa)
