Indian aggressive fast bowler S Sreesanth has been invited by English counties to play in the County Cricket Championship in the upcoming season as said by Sreesanth’s elder brother on Thursday.
Sreesanth’s brother also said that a couple of county teams offered a contract of two months to Sreesanth, and the final decision will be taken by the next two days.
Kerala boy Sreesanth has currently been practicing in a conditioning camp at the Regional Coaching Centre in Kothamangalam, and if he accepts the offer to play in county, then he will have to miss two domestic tournaments.
Kerala Cricket Association secretary T C Mathew said that Sreesanth has informed them about the offer, but the whole details still have been to come and this issue would be discussed in the KCA meeting on Friday.
On Thursday, Sreesanth and his team-mates began their practice at Mar Athanasius college campus, while the chief coach C Suresh Kumar will join them on Friday.
