Experts rushed to look into death of 8 people in Orissa’s village

OrissaAs per the directions of Orissa government, a four-member expert team from the MKCG Medical College and Hospital has been rushed to Gudrikia village of Kandhamal district to find out the exact reason of the death of eight persons in that locality in two days.

Giving this information to the media persons, Sonamali Bag (Principal, MKCG Medical College) said: “The four-member team of the medical college, consisting of experts from departments likes medicine, community medicine, microbiology and pediatric rushed to the village this morning to study the cause of the sudden death of the tribal persons.”

In the beginning, it was assumed that people were falling sick due to food poisoning following consumption of wild mushrooms.

However, later the doctors felt that the patients might be in the clutch of dangerous malaria.

Meanwhile, a number of villagers have fled from the Gudrikia village under Saramulli gram panchayat in panic following the unexpected death of eight persons.

However, according to Ganjam district collector, Kishan Kumar, there is no need to panic as no fresh death case has been reported from the village.
